Foreign Travel

There are four most important things you need to check before traveling to any foreign country.

• Your health & fitness level

• Political, bureaucratic, & other procedures like travel permits, passport, visa including hassles & crimes

• Climate, Season, & Weather in your travel area

• Social, religious, & Cultural sensitivity & customs}

Thanks to the internet, you can now gain up-to-date information on any travel activity anywhere in the world. Hence do your research, talk to those who have already traveled to that regions, & if interested read the travel books & guides. Besides, if you’re planning any adventure activity, or if you’ve a fixed holiday period, contact a recognized travel agency for planning your itinerary schedules.
Many countries issue travel advisory to their citizens on safe travel, especially on current political conditions. Equip yourself with the current affairs news, & travel advisories.

Here we provide you some essential aspects of traveling to Nepal, Tibet, India, & Bhutan.

Nepal:
Most people come to Nepal for trekking. However trekking in the mountains requires a certain level of physical & mental fitness & acclimatization. Except the Indian, all foreigners are required to get a visa before entering Nepal. Getting a visa for Nepal is easy. After getting the passport, you can get a Nepal visa from the Nepal Embassy or consulate in your country, or immediately when you arrive at Kathmandu Airport. If you’re coming overland from India or Tibet, you may get the visas at the entry points on the border.

Tibet:
You need to acquire two permits for Tibet travel. First get the Chinese visa, & then an Alien Travel Permit from Tibet’s tourism board. If you’ve limited time for your travel, get the Chinese visa from your own country, and provide us all details so that you may obtain the permit for Tibet travel from the Embassy at Kathmandu. Remember the Chinese sensitivity toward Tibet & refrain from “Free Tibet” slogans.

India:
You can get India visa from Kathmandu Embassy. However, since it takes at least 7-days for approval, get the visa beforehand from your own country if you’ve limited travel period.

Bhutan:
Getting a Bhutan visa is mandatory even for booking your air tickets. Bhutan has only one airport at Paro air-linked by its national flyer with neighboring countries. You need to send your passport details if you wish us to obtain the Bhutan visa for you.
