Lamjung district is the gateway to the Annapurna region. This region is mainly inhabited by Gurung people. Nestled in this beautiful setting amongst mountains, rivers, streams, green forest and water falls you can find Ghale Gaun Village. This lovely village will enchant you with its stone houses and pristine setting. From Ghala Gaun you can see Buddha Himal, Hinalchuli, Manasulu, Mount Lamjung, Annapurna II, Machhapucchre and Annapurna South. The early morning is the best time to get spectacular views while you listen to the peaceful sounds of nature. This is one of the best newly opened trekking routes in Nepal that allows you to get in touch with nature and discover the rich culture of the region. Be sure to bring along your camera to get unforgettable images of native costume, vibrant dances and splendid natural scenery.
