Packing List

Make a final packing list of the items you’d like to take during the holidays. You may carry the essentials as well as your favorites keeping in mind that your porter would carry a load of 25 kg only. Here is what an outdoor enthusiast suggests for trekking in Nepal. The list is not exhaustive, but only to give you some idea on packing. You can prefer to buy or rent the costly or cumbersome items upon arrival here.

• Medical kit (consult a doctor and trekking guide book)

• First aid kit (typical backpacking kit for minor injuries)

• Toiletries kit (soap, shampoo, razor, toothbrush, etc)

• Repair kit (tape, glue, safety pins, sewing kit, batteries, etc)

• Water bottle (quart or liter)

• Iodine (Polar-Pure) for water

• Boots (light-weight)

• Tennis shoes

• Shower thongs

• Wool socks

• T-Shirts

• Nylon wind/rain suit (jacket and pants, breathable)

• Polyester pile jacket and pants

• Down Jacket

• Underwear (shirt and pants)

• Underpants

• Wool gloves

• Matches and lighter (kept in checked luggage on plane)

• Swiss Army knife (kept in checked luggage on plane)
