Kathmandu: A member of the royal family with altogether 18 climber’s team from the Kingdom of Bahrain arrived in Nepal on 16th September 2020. They are up for Lobuche expedition and Manaslu expedition for this climbing season in Nepal. Prince Sheikh Nasser Bin Hamad Al Khalifa coordinated the expedition in Bahrain and led by Prince Mohamed Hamad Mohamed Al Khalifa. A special flight to Nepal from Sheikh Isha Airbase reached Nepal with the team’s three British nationals. The team will stay in Nepal for two months. They have planned for expedition Lobuche peak and expedition Manaslu. These expeditions are in addition to climbing Mount Everest, the world’s highest peak. The team was allowed by the cabinet meeting held on August 30th to come to Nepal for the expedition.
The Bahraini nationals in the team include Ebrahim Mohamed Abdulla Ebrahim Mohamed, Mohamed Ali Jasim Ahmed Alboainain, Arafat Hamood Naji Ghurbah, Ebrahim Khalil Ebrahim Zayed Mohamed Aljazzaf, Ahmed Said Ahmed Isa Alkabbi, Arif Feroz Shah Murad Qalunder Ghulam, Mohamed Adul Rahman Yusuf Alkawari, Khaled Ali Hasan Ebrahim Hasan Aldossery, Abdulaziz Rafea Abbar Khalaf Alabed, Khaled Sultan Mohamed Abdulla Alsheerwai, Murad Mohamed Yusuf Abdul Sayed, Ebrahim Ali Salem Jaber, Saud Hamad Mubarak Hamad Eid, and Mohamed Isa Abdulla Yusuf Alqais. The expedition team first needs to stay in quarantine for six days.
