Best winter treks in Nepal

Winter is also a good option for trekking in Nepal 2021. Winter season in Nepal is from December till February. Trekking in Nepal in January or in December or February is actually possible at the lower altitude trek areas. However, trekking won’t be quite possible at the higher altitudes since the trek trails will be covered up with snow and high mountain passes being closed due to snow. This means trekking will be moderately graded and no previous trek experience is required. Only one needs to be physically fit enough and have a good sense of adventure. It also means that there will be less risk of altitude sickness during trekking in Nepal. Nepal winter treks have it’s own charm since there will be very few trekkers on the trail and won’t be crowded like in the high trek season. For those who wish to enjoy the Himalayas in a calm and serene environment with less traffic on the trekking trail, winter treks in Nepal are the best choice. Trekking along during winter is also not recommended and taking along an experienced guide is suggested since trekking trails will be snow-bound which might be risky and lead to wrong trails.
