Why Trek In Nepal?

Nepal, a country of high mountains, raging Himalayan Rivers, snowcapped peaks, sub-tropical forests, and with numerous diversities and rich culture, makes it one of the most prominent and popular travel destinations in the world. Numerous adventure activities awaits here such as hiking, rafting, bungee jumping, mountain flight, jungle safari, and hoards of others. That’s why travelers from all over are attracted to witness its outstanding natural as well as cultural beauty. Besides many come to Nepal for the exciting and fun filled achievement of climbing world’s highest peaks too.

The devastating earthquake of 25th April and 12nd May was a tragic misfortune for Nepal in which some touristic sites of central region and its surrounding area was affected. In the same way, it harmed some cultural world heritage sites in Kathmandu too.  The disaster was a big blow for the trekking community nevertheless the situation is gradually recovering and Nepal is doing its best to improve its tourism activities, the second biggest industries of Nepal. Though the earthquake was catastrophic, the following sectors are running well:

  • Transportation facilities are good to go, you don’t need to worry.
  • None of the highways and sub-ways is damaged.
  • Only 10 districts out of 75 district of Nepal are affected by earthquake and 65 districts are safe to visit and stay.
  • There is no communication problems in cell phones, internets etc to have contact with your nearest and dearest.
  • Our international airport and domestic airports are safe. You can undoubtedly visit Nepal and plan your holidays.
  • Among 35 trekking routes of high Himalayas, Langtang and Manaslu region have been closed as they are not safe still. But other 33 trekking routes, such as Annapurna region, Everest region and Mustang region are safe for trekking after-earthquake.
