Day 01 : Drive to Chitwan, Start activities

After breakfast, pick up from hotel (Kathmandu/Pokhara) & drive to Chitwan
(From Kathmandu-5 hours approx. /From Pokhara- 4 hours approx.)

Upon arrival at resort, lunch will be served. Later in the afternoon, an experienced guide will accompany you for ethnic Tharus Village Visit. The surrounding farmland and villages has a pulse of its own, giving it a sense of timelessness. Afterwards, you will be taken to the Elephant Stable for a short briefing on the elephants by our naturalists. As well as visit the Sunset Viewpoint & the Visitor Center for more insight of the Chitwan wildlife, flora & fauna. Afterwards, Transfer to Resort.

Evening: Cultural program (Tharu Stick Dance)
Dinner will be served at the restaurant.
Overnight Resort.

Day 02 : Full Day Jungle Activities

Morning:  Wake-up call at dawn.
After breakfast, a ride on a traditionally dug-out canoe and on this silent canoeing in Rapti River, you will get an opportunity to view aquatic birds and see animals on the river banks. Then you will begin your Jungle (nature) walk accompanied by a trained naturalist and trace animals. The latter will walk some distance ahead to check on animal movement on the trail ahead. You are advised to closely follow the instructions of the naturalist at all times. Afterwards, visit Elephant Breeding Center then follows Elephant Bathing in the Rapti River, and you are most welcome to join in giving the elephants a scrub.

Afternoon: Lunch will be served and a short rest.
Later in the afternoon, Elephant Safari (ride) in the Community Forest (Chitwan National Park) for more animal sightings.

Dinner will be served at the restaurant.
Overnight Resort.

Day 03 : Trip concludes & depart Chitwan

Morning: Wake-up call at dawn.
A naturalist will take you for a Bird Watching tour over the banks of the river in the Chitwan National Park then return back to hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel & depart Chitwan for your onward destination.

Tour duration
The tour duration is 2 night/3 days. 

Clothing varies with the type of tour and season. It’s warm in Kathmandu from April to October-end and from November to March-end, days are usually warm but evening colder. Summer clothes are okay during the day time but the evening requires a light jackets. Winter is from December till February so bring along sufficient winter wears like jackets, sweaters, trousers etc. Or you can purchase clothes of your choice in Kathmandu clothing stores too.

Chitwan National Park
Chitwan National Park is the UNESCO Natural Wolrd Heritage site located in the plains Terai of Nepal. A total of 68 species of mammals, 544 species of birds, 56 species of herpetofauna and 126 species of fish have been recorded in the park. The park is especially renowned for its protection of One Horned Rhinoceros, Royal Bengal Tiger and Gharial Crocodile.



How to Enter Nepal?
In order to fly directly to Nepal from your home country, Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu is the only international airport in Nepal. What if I decided to stay more than 60 days in Nepal? Where and what should I do to extend my Tourist Visa?
There’s no problem in it. The Immigration Department of Kathmandu or Pokhara can extend the visa for another 30 days and the charge for this is US$ 50. Indeed the visa can be extended for a total of 120 days, an additional 30 days visa may be granted on reasonable grounds from the Immigration Office. Nevertheless, a tourist cannot stay in Nepal under tourist-visa for more than 150 cumulative days.

When is the best time to travel in Nepal?
The weather is probably the best guide for deciding when to plan your trip to Nepal. The best time to visit Nepal is between September to November and February to May.

What is the national language of Nepal?
Nepal’s national language is called Nepali. It is written in Devnagri Script. This script is the same as the one used in Hindi language – the national language of India. There are more than 72 different spoken languages in Nepal. It is also official language of Nepal.

What’s the common form of greeting in Nepal?
It is called Namaste or Namaskar. You can say the greeting in words as well as do it using a gesture. Join your palms together and bring them close to your chest and about 5 to 7 inches below your chin. The word Namaste has many meanings such as Hello, How are you? I am glad to see you, nice to meet you, good morning, etc.

What should I wear?
Light, loose garments are recommended in spring (March, April and May) and summer (june, July, August), while woolens and jackets or similar warm clothing’s are required from November to February.

What is the currency of Nepal?
Nepalese currency is spelled as Nepalese Rupees or Rupee (Rs) or Nepali Rupee, and in short it is written NRS or RS. 100 Paisa equals 1 Rs. Currently Notes of the following denominations are used: 1000, 500, 100, 50, 25, 10, 5, 2, and 1 rupees. Coin hasn’t been popular in Nepal and hence is almost always ignored in business. The coins of the following denominations can be found: 1 paisa, 5 paisa, 10 paisa, 50 paisa and 1 Rs, 2 Rs, and 5 Rs. It is recommended that you travel with smaller notes in less populated areas, while large notes are easily accepted elsewhere.

Are there ATM facilities in Nepal?
Yes, in Kathmandu and Pokhara. International credit cards (Master Card, Visa Card etc) are also accepted in all leading hotels, shopping centers, bars and restaurants in Nepal.
