Everest base camp helicopter flight landing tour starts early in the morning from Kathmandu City. You will drive to the domestic section of the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. Then you will fly over the Everest Base Camp and the great Khumbu Glacier from where Everest expeditions begin. Shortly you will land at ‘Kalapathar (5550m)’ for about 10-15 minutes. Kalapather is the popular Himalayan viewpoint from where Mt. Everest is seen very close including the other Himalayas. The viewpoint provides a breathtaking view of the entire Khumbu region mountains and the valley below. Afterward, fly to Hotel Everest View for breakfast and eventually fly back to Kathmandu with some great memories of the Everest base camp tour by helicopter.

Everest base camp helicopter tour fright route is as follows (Timings are approx. as per season/weather conditions)

5:30 – 6:30 AM: Pick up from the hotel and drop at the Tribhuvan domestic terminal, Kathmandu.

6:30 – 7:00 AM: Completing airport formalities for your scheduled helicopter flight to EBC. Make sure to carry your passport. Soon you will be ready to fly to Lukla.

7:00 – 8:00 AM: Fly to Lukla (2,845 meters)
After all formalities complete, you will fly to Lukla. Enroute flight to Lukla, you will be greeted by beautiful views of green hills, and passing through Dolakha village, Jiri village. Then the heli ride continues over the Lamjura-La Pass (3,550 m) covered in thick rhododendron forests. After 45 minutes, you will land at Lukla airport. Lukla is located at 2,820 meters above sea level and is popular for Lukla airport, which has a small runway in the world.

8: 00 – 8:15 AM: Flight Refueling at Lukla Airport
The helicopter will be refueled which will take around 15 minutes. At Lukla, you will notice many trek guides and porters waiting for their clients. As well as small planes landing or taking off to Kathmandu from Lukla.

8:15 – 8:30 AM: Fly to Kala Patthar (5,450 meters)
After refueling, you will fly to Everest flying over Everest Base Camp and the mighty Khumbu Glacier.

8:30 – 8:45 AM: Land and Explore around Kala Patthar (5,450 meters)
Then land at Kala Patthar from where snap some great views of the mountains such as Everest, Pumori, and Lhotse summit. Fifteen minutes on the ground may not sound like a lot, but it’s far enough to click splendid views of the Himalayas.

8:45 – 9:00 AM: Fly to Syangboche (Everest View Hotel) (3,950 meters)
During the flight, your helicopter captain/pilot will point all the Himalayas as they enfold in from of you. After Kala Patthar, you will fly to the world’s highest-located hotel, Everest View Hotel, for a hearty breakfast.

9:00 – 9:30 AM: Breakfast Time at Everest View Hotel
Hotel Everest View is most popular for getting Mt. Everest’s view from every corner. It is an ideal location to get the mesmerizing scene of the Himalayas with a hearty filling breakfast.

9:30 – 10:00 AM: Fly to Lukla and Refuel
After breakfast, you will fly back to the Lukla. Once again, the flight will land at Lukla for 15 minutes for refueling then fly back to Kathmandu.

10:00 – 11:00 AM: Fly back to Kathmandu
After this exciting flight, you will fly back to Kathmandu and back to your hotel.
