Our 8-Days Kathmandu Pokhara Chitwan Tour commences with a guided city tour in Kathmandu where you will visit some of the popular world heritage sites and different religious and spiritual hubs. Next day we will drive to Pokhara on a private vehicle enjoying the spectacular views of traditional villages, beautiful rivers, etc. It will take us approximately 6 hours to reach Pokhara. In the following day we will operate guided Pokhara City tour and visit different sites and monuments of Pokhara. A visit to Sarangkot is one of major attraction of Pokhara as it offers a great view of Sunrise from its ridge. Some of the major attractions of Pokhara include Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave, Davis Falls, Bindabasini Temple, Regional Museus, Tibetan Refugee Camp and World Peace Stupa. Next day we will set off for Chitwan to experience the Jungle Safari in Chitwan National Park. We will be spending a full day in Chitwan today. We will be doing a Jungle Safari either riding an elephant or by a jeep. It will be a great opportunity to explore the conservative area and observe the rich vegetation. We will wrap up our tour by driving back to Kathmandu.

Day 01 : Arrive in Kathmandu

Your Kathmandu Pokhara Chitwan Tour begins after your arrival at Kathmandu, where one of our representatives greets you and drives you towards your allotted Hotel. After check in you may either relax at hotel or roam around the streets of Kathmandu. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 02 : Kathmandu City Tour

After breakfast carry out the guided city tour of Kathmandu city and discover several historical, cultural and spiritual attractions of Kathmandu. The sightseeing tour includes the world heritage sites like historical Kathmandu Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple Pashupatinath, Buddhist Pilgrimage Swambhunath (Monkey Temple) and Bouddhanath Stupa. After exploring all these heritages sites drive back to Hotel in the evening. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 03 : Drive or Fly to Pokhara

On the third day of Kathmandu Pokhara Chitwan Tour, get to the Pokhara either by a flight or drive by Tourist Bus. The flight to Pokhara offers a great view of Himalayan range and mystical landscapes of Nepal. On the other hand the drive provides an opportunity to discover the beautiful rivers, green forests, hills and magnificent Himalayas. The drive for about 7 hours takes you to the Pokhara while flight just takes 25 minutes. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 04 : Sunrise + Pokhara City Tour

Wake up early in the morning and drive towards the Sarangkot for breathtaking view of sunrise. Sarangkot offers the great panoramic views of the tallest Himalayas of Nepal including the Annapurna Range. Later drive back to Pokhara and carry out the sightseeing program around Pokhara city. Pay visit to famous Bindabasini Temple, Seti River Gorge, Devi’s Fall, Gupteshowr Cave, Gurkha Museum. Later in the evening enjoy the peaceful boating in Phewa Lake. Afterwards drive back to hotel. Day 05 : Drive to Chitwan and start Jungle excursion

Kathmandu Pokhara Chitwan Tour also takes you to the Chitwan National Park so get up early in the morning, have breakfast and set off for Chitwan on a private vehicle. The drive passes through the beautiful route and provides the magical views of Himalayas, rivers and rich vegetation and continues for about six hours. After reaching Chitwan go to a short jungle excursion and get back to the Hotel. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 06 : Full day in Chitwan

Today is reserve for full day jungle activities. Carry out a jungle safari either riding an elephant or by Jeep and explore the conservative area and observe the rich vegetation. The safari lets you a great opportunity to encounter the great One Horned Rhino, Royal Bengal Tiger, various wild animals, birds and amphibians. Also enjoy the jungle walk, Birds watching and Canoeing in the Rapti River. Later in the evening walk to the Tharu Village, then return back to Hotel. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 07 : Drive Back to Kathmandu

Wrap up the adventure tour in Chitwan and drive back to Kathmandu for about 7 hours. Enjoy the drive witnessing the beautiful rivers, landscapes and traditional villages on the way back. Upon reaching Kathmandu you may chose to hang around in the city in the evening. Overnight at Hotel.

Tour duration
The tour duration is 7 nights/8 days. In Kathmandu, visit the major UNESCO World Heritage Sites like Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath, Swoyambhunath-Monkey Temple, Boudhanath. Pokhara sightseeing includes all the natural tourist sites and Himalayan view-point Sarangkot. Wrap up the tour with relaxing jungle safari at the Chitwan National Park.

Clothing varies with the type of tour and season. It’s warm in Kathmandu from April to October-end and from November to March-end, days are usually warm but evening colder. Summer clothes are okay during the day time but the evening requires a light jackets. Winter is from December till February so bring along sufficient winter wears like jackets, sweaters, trousers etc. Or you can purchase clothes of your choice in Kathmandu clothing stores too.

Breakfast is included during your stay at Kathmandu/Pokhara. All meals will be provided in Chitwan.

Kathmandu Durbar Square (World Heritage Site)
This complex of palaces, courtyards and temples, built between the 12th and 18th centuries, used to be the seat of the ancient Malla kings of Kathmandu. An intriguing piece here is the 17th- century stone inscription set into the wall of the palace with writings in 15 languages. The Durbar Square is the social, religious and urban focal point of the city. There are also three museums inside the palace building.

Swoyambhunath Stupa - The Monkey Temple (World Heritage Site)
The huge stupa is one of the holiest Buddhists sites in Nepal and its establishment is linked to the creation of the Kathmandu Valley out of a primordial lake. Swayambhu is also known the Monkey temple because of the countless monkeys living in the premises. The stupa is towards the western side of the Kathmandu valley atop a hillock commanding great view of the entire Kathmandu Valley.

Pashupatinath Temple (World Heritage Site)
Pashupatinath is one of the most sacred Hindu shrines located 5 kms east of the city center. The richly-ornamented pagoda houses the sacred Linga, or phallic symbol, of Lord Shiva. Chronicles indicate the temples existence prior to 400 AD. The holy Bagmati River flowing beside the temple is also the cremation ground for Hindus.

Bouddhanath Stupa (World Heritage Site)
The Bouddhanath Stups is the largest stupa in the valley located about 6 kms to the east of downtown Kathmandu. It looms 36 meters high and presents one of the most fascinating
specimens of stupa design. Buddhanath is also known as Khasti, or dew drops, after an account that builders had to use dew to mix the mortar as Kathmandu was suffering from a severe drought during the construction of Bouddhanath.

Sarangkot is the Himalayan view-point located at an altitude of 1600m. From Sarangkot, on the northern direction one can spot Dhawalagiri in the far west, Annapurna range is visible when the weather is clear on the same side. On the southern direction overlooks the Pokhara city and its lake on the north-western outskirts of the city.

World Peace Pagoda
World Peace Pagoda is a Buddhist stupa located on a hill top (Rani Ban) just above the Phewa Lake. This stupa is the symbol of peace where the huge idols of Lord Buddha from Japan, Sri Lanka and Thailand have been installed. From here one can enjoy the breathtaking views of Himalayan Ranges, lakes, and the city.

Bindhabasini Temple
The temple is for the Goddess Bhagwati located in the center of the religious old bazaar. The park grounds offer a fine picnic and relaxing area.

Davis fall
Locally known as Patale Chhango and in the southern flank of the Pokhara valley, it is where the stream flowing from Fewa Lake collapses and surges down the rock into a deep gorge, leaping through several potholes.

Gupteshwor Cave
The revered Gupteshwor Cave is situated 2 kms from Pokhara airport. The entrance is right across from Davis fall and the cave is almost 3 kms long. It has some big hall-sized rooms and some passages where you have to crawl on all four. This cave holds special value to Hindus since a phallic symbol of Lord Shiva is preserved here in the condition it was discovered

Seti River Gorges
Carved by Seti-Gandaki, it is one of the natural wonders of Pokhara. K.I. Singh bridge at Bagar, Mahendrapool and Prithivi highway Bridge near bus park, provide a perfect view of the rivers dreadful rush and the deep gorge made by the turbulent flow of white water.

Tibetan Refugee Camps
The Tibetan village Tashiling in the south and the Tashi Palkhel village in the north of Pokhara are renowned for the production and trade of woolen carpets and other handicrafts. The original Tibetan settlers in this region migrated to Nepal in the ‘50s.

Regional Museum
It is located between the airport and Mahendra Pul & reflects the ethnic mosaic of Western Nepal. The lifestyles and history of ethnic groups such as the Gurung, Thakali and the Tharu are attractively displayed.

Chitwan National Park
Chitwan National Park is the UNESCO Natural Wolrd Heritage site located in the plains Terai of Nepal. A total of 68 species of mammals, 544 species of birds, 56 species of herpetofauna and 126 species of fish have been recorded in the park. The park is especially renowned for its protection of One Horned Rhinoceros, Royal Bengal Tiger and Gharial Crocodile.


How to Enter Nepal?
In order to fly directly to Nepal from your home country, Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu is the only international airport in Nepal. TIA has direct air link with Osaka, Shanghai, London, Frankfurt, Hongkong, Singapore, Bangkok, Delhi, Dubai, Bombay and Calcutta. Lufthansa, Royal Nepal Airlines (RNAC), Air India, Singapore Airlines, Thai are the airlines that carry most of the foreign travelers into Kathmandu; and if you buy tickets from any other airlines, you will probably connect with one of these airlines for the final leg of your flight.

Do I need a visa to travel to Nepal?
All foreign nationals, except Indian Citizens, need visas to enter Nepal.

What do I need to get my visa?
You need a valid passport, two passport size photos and US$ in cash.

Where do I apply to get my visa?
The best way to apply for visa is from the Nepalese diplomatic missions in your home country. The other choice is to get it from Immigration office at the entry points of Nepal.

What if I decided to stay more than 60 days in Nepal? Where and what should I do to extend my Tourist Visa?
There’s no problem in it. The Immigration Department of Kathmandu or Pokhara can extend the visa for another 30 days and the charge for this is US$ 50. Indeed the visa can be extended for a total of 120 days, an additional 30 days visa may be granted on reasonable grounds from the Immigration Office. Nevertheless, a tourist cannot stay in Nepal under tourist-visa for more than 150 cumulative days.

When is the best time to travel in Nepal?
The weather is probably the best guide for deciding when to plan your trip to Nepal. The best time to visit Nepal is between September to November and February to May.

What is the national language of Nepal?
Nepal’s national language is called Nepali. It is written in Devnagri Script. This script is the same as the one used in Hindi language – the national language of India. There are more than 72 different spoken languages in Nepal. It is also official language of Nepal.

What’s the common form of greeting in Nepal?
It is called Namaste or Namaskar. You can say the greeting in words as well as do it using a gesture. Join your palms together and bring them close to your chest and about 5 to 7 inches below your chin. The word Namaste has many meanings such as Hello, How are you? I am glad to see you, nice to meet you, good morning, etc.

What should I wear?
Light, loose garments are recommended in spring (March, April and May) and summer (june, July, August), while woolens and jackets or similar warm clothing’s are required from November to February.

What is the currency of Nepal?
Nepalese currency is spelled as Nepalese Rupees or Rupee (Rs) or Nepali Rupee, and in short it is written NRS or RS. 100 Paisa equals 1 Rs. Currently Notes of the following denominations are used: 1000, 500, 100, 50, 25, 10, 5, 2, and 1 rupees. Coin hasn’t been popular in Nepal and hence is almost always ignored in business. The coins of the following denominations can be found: 1 paisa, 5 paisa, 10 paisa, 50 paisa and 1 Rs, 2 Rs, and 5 Rs. It is recommended that you travel with smaller notes in less populated areas, while large notes are easily accepted elsewhere.

Are there ATM facilities in Nepal?
Yes, in Kathmandu and Pokhara. International credit cards (Master Card, Visa Card etc) are also accepted in all leading hotels, shopping centers, bars and restaurants in Nepal.
