Our 8-Days Kathmandu Pokhara Chitwan Tour commences with a guided city tour in Kathmandu where you will visit some of the popular world heritage sites and different religious and spiritual hubs. Next day we will drive to Pokhara on a private vehicle enjoying the spectacular views of traditional villages, beautiful rivers, etc. It will take us approximately 6 hours to reach Pokhara. In the following day we will operate guided Pokhara City tour and visit different sites and monuments of Pokhara. A visit to Sarangkot is one of major attraction of Pokhara as it offers a great view of Sunrise from its ridge. Some of the major attractions of Pokhara include Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave, Davis Falls, Bindabasini Temple, Regional Museus, Tibetan Refugee Camp and World Peace Stupa. Next day we will set off for Chitwan to experience the Jungle Safari in Chitwan National Park. We will be spending a full day in Chitwan today. We will be doing a Jungle Safari either riding an elephant or by a jeep. It will be a great opportunity to explore the conservative area and observe the rich vegetation. We will wrap up our tour by driving back to Kathmandu.

Day 01 : Arrive in Kathmandu

After your arrival at the airport in Kathmandu you will be greeted by one of our representatives who will later transfer you to the hotel. After hotel check in you can decide whether you would like to have a relaxing rest at the hotel or hang around the streets of Kathmandu (If you have leisure time). You will be briefed about our next day’s travel plan by our company representative. O/N you stay at the hotel.

Day 02 : Kathmandu City Tour

Today after breakfast we will organize a guided city tour where you get to discover several historical, cultural and spiritual attractions of Kathmandu. You will be seeing the world heritage sites like historical Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of lord Pashupatinath, Buddhist pilgrimage Swoyambhunath (famous by the name of Monkey temple among tourists) and Boudhanath Shrine.  You will be amazed to see the culture, tradition and lifestyle of people living in Kathmandu valley. We will organize a fare well dinner at an authentic Nepalese restaurant later in the evening. The dinner will be followed by cultural shows and traditional dances that depict different culture and tradition of Nepal. After the dinner you will be escorted back to the hotel. O/N at the hotel.

Day 03 : Drive or Fly to Pokhara

We are all set to set off to the magical city of Pokhara today. We will either board a flight or drive to Pokhara in a tourist bus or private vehicle. The flight to Pokhara offers a great view of Himalayan range and mystical landscape of Nepal. If we drive to Pokhara we will have a great opportunity to discover the beautiful rivers, green forests, hills and magnificent Himalayas. It will take us approximately six hours to reach Pokhara by a private vehicle and seven hours by tourist bus. Upon reaching Pokhara our representative will escort you to the hotel where you stay for the night.

Day 04 : Sunrise + Pokhara City Tour

Early morning, we set off for Sarangkot to catch eye popping view of sunrise from its ridge. We need to walk for a couple of minutes to reach its vantage point. Sarangkot also offers a great view of some of the tallest Himalayas of Nepal including the Annapurna Range.  Later we will driver back to continue with our city tour. We will pay our visit to the famous Bindabasini Temple that is dedicated to goddess Durga.
We will continue to visit other attractions of the City like Seti River Gorge, Davis Falls, The longest cave in south Asia Gupteshwor Cave and many more. Hanging around the lakeside in the evening and boating in the Fewa Lake for some time is indeed a great fun. O/N We stay at the hotel in Pokhara.

Day 05 : Drive to Chitwan and start Jungle excursion

We get up early in the morning, have our breakfast and set off for Chitwan on a private vehicle. We will drive through the beautiful route enjoying the magical views of Himalaya, rivers and rich vegetation. It will take us approximately six hours to reach Chitwan. Upon reaching Chitwan we will take a short jungle excursion and get back to the hotel for the overnight stay.

Day 06 : Full day in Chitwan

We will be spending a full day in Chitwan today. We will be doing a Jungle Safari either riding an elephant or by a jeep. It will be a great opportunity to explore the conservative area and observe the rich vegetation. We will allocate a trained guide who will simplify your expedition in the National park. We will enjoy the safari going deep into the forest and discovering may wild animals, birds and amphibians. We will be amazed to see the natural beauty of the region that attracts many tourists from around the globe. We will also enjoy the jungle walk, Birds watching and Canoeing. A walk to the Tharu village in the evening is a good idea. We will then get back to the hotel for the overnight stay.

Day 07 : Drive Back to Kathmandu

Today we will warp our adventure tour in Chitwan and drive back to Kathmandu. Driving back to Kathmandu is a great fun as it offers a scenic view of beautiful rivers, landscapes and traditional villages on our way back. Upon reaching Kathmandu you may choose to hang around in the city in the evening. Overnight, you stay at the in Kathmandu.

Day 08 : Final Departure

Your Kathmandu Pokhara Chitwan Tour comes to an end today! You will be escorted by one of the representatives of Breakfree Adventures to the international terminal of Kathmandu airport approximately three hours before your flight schedule. We exchange our last good-byes and now you will be leaving Nepal with all the good memories you had during the wonderful Tour. We hope you had a lovely time with us. We operate Kathmandu Pokhara Chitwan Tour privately with your personal guide so that you don’t have to confront with other people who might have different interests or attitudes. To keep our tours private and comfortable we limit our groups with 10 people per guide. Please contact us if you have a bigger group and we will arrange several guides for you depending on group size.

Accommodation
We use comfortable 3 star category hotel. (Upgrade/Downgrade available as per your requirements)

Vehicle
We use comfortable car/mini-van for the sightseeing tours. (For up to 2 people, car is provided and mini-van is for the group 3-10 people) Kathmandu/Pokhara transfers can be done either by tourist bus, private vehicle or flight as per your requirement.
 
Tour duration
The tour duration is 7 nights/8 days. In Kathmandu, visit the major UNESCO World Heritage Sites like Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath, Swoyambhunath-Monkey Temple, Boudhanath. Pokhara sightseeing includes all the natural tourist sites and Himalayan view-point Sarangkot. Wrap up the tour with relaxing jungle safari at the Chitwan National Park.

Clothing
Clothing varies with the type of tour and season. It’s warm in Kathmandu from April to October-end and from November to March-end, days are usually warm but evening colder. Summer clothes are okay during the day time but the evening requires a light jackets. Winter is from December till February so bring along sufficient winter wears like jackets, sweaters, trousers etc. Or you can purchase clothes of your choice in Kathmandu clothing stores too.

Meals
Breakfast is included during your stay at Kathmandu/Pokhara. All meals will be provided in Chitwan.

Kathmandu Durbar Square (World Heritage Site)
This complex of palaces, courtyards and temples, built between the 12th and 18th centuries, used to be the seat of the ancient Malla kings of Kathmandu. An intriguing piece here is the 17th- century stone inscription set into the wall of the palace with writings in 15 languages. The Durbar Square is the social, religious and urban focal point of the city. There are also three museums inside the palace building.

Swoyambhunath Stupa - The Monkey Temple (World Heritage Site)
The huge stupa is one of the holiest Buddhists sites in Nepal and its establishment is linked to the creation of the Kathmandu Valley out of a primordial lake. Swayambhu is also known the Monkey temple because of the countless monkeys living in the premises. The stupa is towards the western side of the Kathmandu valley atop a hillock commanding great view of the entire Kathmandu Valley.

Pashupatinath Temple (World Heritage Site)
Pashupatinath is one of the most sacred Hindu shrines located 5 kms east of the city center. The richly-ornamented pagoda houses the sacred Linga, or phallic symbol, of Lord Shiva. Chronicles indicate the temples existence prior to 400 AD. The holy Bagmati River flowing beside the temple is also the cremation ground for Hindus.

Bouddhanath Stupa (World Heritage Site)
The Bouddhanath Stups is the largest stupa in the valley located about 6 kms to the east of downtown Kathmandu. It looms 36 meters high and presents one of the most fascinating
specimens of stupa design. Buddhanath is also known as Khasti, or dew drops, after an account that builders had to use dew to mix the mortar as Kathmandu was suffering from a severe drought during the construction of Bouddhanath.

The sightseeing places we visit in Pokhara will include:

Sarangkot
Sarangkot is the Himalayan view-point located at an altitude of 1600m. From Sarangkot, on the northern direction one can spot Dhawalagiri in the far west, Annapurna range is visible when the weather is clear on the same side. On the southern direction overlooks the Pokhara city and its lake on the north-western outskirts of the city.

World Peace Pagoda
World Peace Pagoda is a Buddhist stupa located on a hill top (Rani Ban) just above the Phewa Lake. This stupa is the symbol of peace where the huge idols of Lord Buddha from Japan, Sri Lanka and Thailand have been installed. From here one can enjoy the breathtaking views of Himalayan Ranges, lakes, and the city.

Bindhabasini Temple
The temple is for the Goddess Bhagwati located in the center of the religious old bazaar. The park grounds offer a fine picnic and relaxing area.

Davis fall
Locally known as Patale Chhango and in the southern flank of the Pokhara valley, it is where the stream flowing from Fewa Lake collapses and surges down the rock into a deep gorge, leaping through several potholes.

Gupteshwor Cave
The revered Gupteshwor Cave is situated 2 kms from Pokhara airport. The entrance is right across from Davis fall and the cave is almost 3 kms long. It has some big hall-sized rooms and some passages where you have to crawl on all four. This cave holds special value to Hindus since a phallic symbol of Lord Shiva is preserved here in the condition it was discovered

Seti River Gorges
Carved by Seti-Gandaki, it is one of the natural wonders of Pokhara. K.I. Singh bridge at Bagar, Mahendrapool and Prithivi highway Bridge near bus park, provide a perfect view of the rivers dreadful rush and the deep gorge made by the turbulent flow of white water.

Tibetan Refugee Camps
The Tibetan village Tashiling in the south and the Tashi Palkhel village in the north of Pokhara are renowned for the production and trade of woolen carpets and other handicrafts. The original Tibetan settlers in this region migrated to Nepal in the ‘50s.

Regional Museum
It is located between the airport and Mahendra Pul & reflects the ethnic mosaic of Western Nepal. The lifestyles and history of ethnic groups such as the Gurung, Thakali and the Tharu are attractively displayed.

Chitwan National Park
Chitwan National Park is the UNESCO Natural Wolrd Heritage site located in the plains Terai of Nepal. A total of 68 species of mammals, 544 species of birds, 56 species of herpetofauna and 126 species of fish have been recorded in the park. The park is especially renowned for its protection of One Horned Rhinoceros, Royal Bengal Tiger and Gharial Crocodile.
