Our six days Nepal Honeymoon tour commences with a superb mountain flight tour that takes to the world of Himalayan beauty. Day 01 : Arrive in Kathmandu

After your arrival at the airport in Kathmandu you will be greeted by one of our representatives who will later transfer you to the hotel. After hotel check in you can decide whether you would like to have a relaxing rest at the hotel or hang around the streets of Kathmandu (If you have leisure time). You will be briefed about our next day’s travel plan by our company representative. O/N you stay at the hotel.

Day 02 : Mountain Flight + Kathmandu City

Today after the breakfast we will drive to Domestic terminal of Kathmandu airport to board the Mountain flight that takes us all the way to the Everest region. The Everest Mountain Flight provides us the great opportunity to explore the high raising Himalayan range including Mt. Everest (8848m) , Gauri Shanker (7134 m), Langang Lirung (7234m) and Ganesh (7429m), Shisa Pangma (8013m ) and Gyachangkang (7952 m), Pumari (7161m) and Nuptse (7855m), Lhotse (8516 m) and Amadablem (6812m), Chamlang (7319m) and Makalu (8463 m), Cho Oyu (8201m) and Kanchenjunga (8586 m) along with other Himalayas. Flying over the beautiful Himalayas for approximately an hour is once in a lifetime experience for everyone. The flight will later take us back to the Kathmandu Airport. We will then start our guided Kathmandu city tour. You will be seeing the world heritage sites like historical Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of lord Pashupatinath, Buddhist pilgrimage Swoyambhunath (famous by the name of Monkey temple among tourists) and Boudhanath Shrine.  You will be amazed to see the culture, tradition and lifestyle of people living in Kathmandu valley. After a day full of tour we will get back to the hotel for the overnight stay.

Day 03 : Fly to Pokhara, Relax in the afternoon

Today, after breakfast we will catch a flight to Pokhara. Pokhara is one of the most beautiful places in Nepal filled with beautiful lakes, rivers, landscapes, temples, monasteries and luxury resorts.  Upon your arrival in Pokhara our guide you escort you to your hotel. You can have a relaxing rest at the hotel in the afternoon. You may choose to take a short walk around the city in evening. Boating in Fewa lake for few hours would be a great idea. You can find many pubs and restaurants around the lake side that serves you delicious cuisines and fine drinks. Later you get back to the hotel for the overnight stay.

Day 04 : Sunrise + Pokhara City Tour

Early morning, we set off for Sarangkot to catch the eye popping view of sunrise from its ridge. We need to walk for a couple of minutes to reach its vantage point. Sarangkot also offers a great view of some of the tallest Himalayas of Nepal including the Annapurna Range.  Later we will drive back to continue with our city tour. We will pay our visit to the famous Bindabasini Temple that is dedicated to goddess Durga. We will continue to visit other attractions of the City like Seti River Gorge, Davis Falls, The longest cave in south Asia Gupteshwor Cave and many more. We will then drive to World peace Stupa that is situated in the hilltop. World peace Stupa is a famous tourist destination and it offers a great view of Fewa Lake and magnificent Himalayas from its vantage point. We will also visit the Tibetan Refugee Camp which is a habitat for numerous exiled Tibetans. We will later drive back to the hotel for the overnight stay.

Day 05 : Fly back to Kathmandu

We will today wrap up our stay in Pokhara and board a flight back to Kathmandu in the afternoon. Upon reaching Kathmandu you may choose to visit the market or tourist hub Thamel for buying gifts to your friends and families. A fine dinner at an authentic Nepali restaurant would be a great idea. Overnight, you stay at the hotel.

Day 06 : Final Departure

Your trip to the majestic country of Nepal comes to an end today! You will be escorted by one of the representatives of Breakfree Adventures to the international terminal of Kathmandu airport approximately three hours before your flight schedule. We exchange our last good-byes and now you will be leaving Nepal with all the good memories you had during the wonderful Honeymoon Tour in Nepal. We hope you had a lovely time with us. Tour duration
The tour duration is about 5 nights/6 days. The sightseeing is done at the major UNESCO World Heritage sites of the Kathmandu Valley plus tour of beautiful lakeside town Pokhara.

Clothing varies with the type of tour and season. It’s warm in Kathmandu from April to October-end and from November to March-end, days are usually warm but evening colder. Summer clothes are okay during the day time but the evening requires a light jackets. Winter is from December till February so bring along sufficient winter wears like jackets, sweaters, trousers etc. Or you can purchase clothes of your choice in Kathmandu clothing stores too.

Breakfast is included while in Kathmandu and Pokhara.

Kathmandu Durbar Square (World Heritage Site)
This complex of palaces, courtyards and temples, built between the 12th and 18th centuries, used to be the seat of the ancient Malla kings of Kathmandu. An intriguing piece here is the 17th- century stone inscription set into the wall of the palace with writings in 15 languages. The Durbar Square is the social, religious and urban focal point of the city. There are also three museums inside the palace building.

Swoyambhunath Stupa - The Monkey Temple (World Heritage Site)
The huge stupa is one of the holiest Buddhists sites in Nepal and its establishment is linked to the creation of the Kathmandu Valley out of a primordial lake. Swayambhu is also known the Monkey temple because of the countless monkeys living in the premises. The stupa is towards the western side of the Kathmandu valley atop a hillock commanding great view of the entire Kathmandu Valley.

Pashupatinath Temple (World Heritage Site)
Pashupatinath is one of the most sacred Hindu shrines located 5 kms east of the city center. The richly-ornamented pagoda houses the sacred Linga, or phallic symbol, of Lord Shiva. Chronicles indicate the temples existence prior to 400 AD. The holy Bagmati River flowing beside the temple is also the cremation ground for Hindus.

Bouddhanath Stupa (World Heritage Site)
The Bouddhanath Stups is the largest stupa in the valley located about 6 kms to the east of downtown Kathmandu. It looms 36 meters high and presents one of the most fascinating
specimens of stupa design. Buddhanath is also known as Khasti, or dew drops, after an account that builders had to use dew to mix the mortar as Kathmandu was suffering from a severe drought during the construction of Bouddhanath.

Sarangkot is the Himalayan view-point located at an altitude of 1600m. From Sarangkot, on the northern direction one can spot Dhawalagiri in the far west, Annapurna range is visible when the weather is clear on the same side. On the southern direction overlooks the Pokhara city and its lake on the north-western outskirts of the city.

World Peace Pagoda
World Peace Pagoda is a Buddhist stupa located on a hill top (Rani Ban) just above the Phewa Lake. This stupa is the symbol of peace where the huge idols of Lord Buddha from Japan, Sri Lanka and Thailand have been installed. From here one can enjoy the breathtaking views of Himalayan Ranges, lakes, and the city.

Bindhabasini Temple
The temple is for the Goddess Bhagwati located in the center of the religious old bazaar. The park grounds offer a fine picnic and relaxing area.

Davis fall
Locally known as Patale Chhango and in the southern flank of the Pokhara valley, it is where the stream flowing from Fewa Lake collapses and surges down the rock into a deep gorge, leaping through several potholes.

Gupteshwor Cave
The revered Gupteshwor Cave is situated 2 kms from Pokhara airport. The entrance is right across from Davis fall and the cave is almost 3 kms long. It has some big hall-sized rooms and some passages where you have to crawl on all four. This cave holds special value to Hindus since a phallic symbol of Lord Shiva is preserved here in the condition it was discovered

Seti River Gorges
Carved by Seti-Gandaki, it is one of the natural wonders of Pokhara. K.I. Singh bridge at Bagar, Mahendrapool and Prithivi highway Bridge near bus park, provide a perfect view of the rivers dreadful rush and the deep gorge made by the turbulent flow of white water.

Tibetan Refugee Camps
The Tibetan village Tashiling in the south and the Tashi Palkhel village in the north of Pokhara are renowned for the production and trade of woolen carpets and other handicrafts. The original Tibetan settlers in this region migrated to Nepal in the ‘50s.

Regional Museum
It is located between the airport and Mahendra Pul & reflects the ethnic mosaic of Western Nepal. The lifestyles and history of ethnic groups such as the Gurung, Thakali and the Tharu are attractively displayed.


How to Enter Nepal?
In order to fly directly to Nepal from your home country, Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu is the only international airport in Nepal. TIA has direct air link with Osaka, Shanghai, London, Frankfurt, Hongkong, Singapore, Bangkok, Delhi, Dubai, Bombay and Calcutta. Lufthansa, Royal Nepal Airlines (RNAC), Air India, Singapore Airlines, Thai are the airlines that carry most of the foreign travelers into Kathmandu; and if you buy tickets from any other airlines, you will probably connect with one of these airlines for the final leg of your flight.

Do I need a visa to travel to Nepal?
All foreign nationals, except Indian Citizens, need visas to enter Nepal.

What do I need to get my visa?
You need a valid passport, two passport size photos and US$ in cash.

Where do I apply to get my visa?
The best way to apply for visa is from the Nepalese diplomatic missions in your home country. The other choice is to get it from Immigration office at the entry points of Nepal.

What if I decided to stay more than 60 days in Nepal? Where and what should I do to extend my Tourist Visa?
There’s no problem in it. The Immigration Department of Kathmandu or Pokhara can extend the visa for another 30 days and the charge for this is US$ 50. Indeed the visa can be extended for a total of 120 days, an additional 30 days visa may be granted on reasonable grounds from the Immigration Office. Nevertheless, a tourist cannot stay in Nepal under tourist-visa for more than 150 cumulative days.

When is the best time to travel in Nepal?
The weather is probably the best guide for deciding when to plan your trip to Nepal. The best time to visit Nepal is between September to November and February to May.

What is the national language of Nepal?
Nepal’s national language is called Nepali. It is written in Devnagri Script. This script is the same as the one used in Hindi language – the national language of India. There are more than 72 different spoken languages in Nepal. It is also official language of Nepal.

What’s the common form of greeting in Nepal?
It is called Namaste or Namaskar. You can say the greeting in words as well as do it using a gesture. Join your palms together and bring them close to your chest and about 5 to 7 inches below your chin. The word Namaste has many meanings such as Hello, How are you? I am glad to see you, nice to meet you, good morning, etc.

What should I wear?
Light, loose garments are recommended in spring (March, April and May) and summer (june, July, August), while woolens and jackets or similar warm clothing’s are required from November to February.

What is the currency of Nepal?
Nepalese currency is spelled as Nepalese Rupees or Rupee (Rs) or Nepali Rupee, and in short it is written NRS or RS. 100 Paisa equals 1 Rs. Currently Notes of the following denominations are used: 1000, 500, 100, 50, 25, 10, 5, 2, and 1 rupees. Coin hasn’t been popular in Nepal and hence is almost always ignored in business. The coins of the following denominations can be found: 1 paisa, 5 paisa, 10 paisa, 50 paisa and 1 Rs, 2 Rs, and 5 Rs. It is recommended that you travel with smaller notes in less populated areas, while large notes are easily accepted elsewhere.

Are there ATM facilities in Nepal?
Yes, in Kathmandu and Pokhara. International credit cards (Master Card, Visa Card etc) are also accepted in all leading hotels, shopping centers, bars and restaurants in Nepal.
