It is important to not burden oneself with cumbersome backpack consisting of things that you might not even use once, but it is all important to not miss packing essential things that are must while trekking in Nepal. Here we have curated an ultimate packing list while trekking in Nepal with collaboration with expert guides and adventurers.


Back-packs;

The type and size of back-pack you need will differ according to whether you will be using porter service or not.

  • Smaller snug Backpack (Will be enough, if you will have porter to do heavy lifting).
  • Trekking backpack of 45 or more liters capacity.

Apparels:

Undoubtedly apparels are the things that are going to take most of the back-pack’s real estate. So choosing a good sets of apparel will make sure that your backpack is light without you compromising any sophistication, comfortability and warmth.

  • Trekking Pants
  • 4-5 Quick drying T-shirts and base-layer
  • Thick Down Jacket
  • One long-sleeved shirt
  • Warm hoodie (fleece)
  • Rain Jacket/Cover

Hat and Gloves:

Protecting your head and hands from cold in a must. Make sure to include following items for protecting your head and hands from potential hazardous environment:

Footwear:

  • Sunscreen (SPF-35 or above)
  • Moisturizers and Lip Balm
  • First Aid Kit (If you are traveling in group one for a group will work)
  • Toilet Paper
  • Toiletry Kit (Facewash, perfumes etc.)

Cash:

Unfortunately, there are no pos machine or atm along the trail, so its necessary that you carry cash to tip or buy other essential stuffs like snacks, water etc.
