No Entrance fees for top Tibetan attractions till April end

For worldwide tourists, visiting the top Tibetan attractions is completely free. This is a part of government’s initiatives to promote Tibetan winter tours and also to share the world’s third pole with global tourists. The period during when these attractions will be free is from February 1st till the 30th of April 2018. This extraordinary beneficial policy is expected to target the A-list attractions in 6 major prefectures like Lhasa, Shannan, Shigatse, Nyingchi, Ngari, Chamdo across Tibet. Within this time frame big names like like Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Yamdrok Lake, Tashilhunpo Monastery, Mount Everest National Nature Reserve and Mt. Kailash will remain free for worldwide tourists.
