The first woman summiteer of Mt. Everest, Junko Tabei, dies at 77

According to her family, the first woman to conquer Mt. Everest who was a Japanese climber ‘Junko Tabei’ has died aged 77. In her age of 35 Tabei conquered Everest in the year 1975 during May. She has also climbed all of the world’s seven highest peaks by 1992. Tabei was diagnosed with cancer of the abdomen four years ago and passed away in hospital in the city of Saitama. Her last ascent was Mt. Fuji in Japan.
