Tibet Everest Base Camp Tour is a complete tour package that covers the major attractions of Lhasa and Central Tibet and once in a lifetime experience of Everest Base Camp. The tour is designed with Kathmandu – Lhasa fly in and overland drive out to Kathmandu back. Day 01 : Kathmandu – Lhasa (3,650m)

Pick you up from Lhasa airport or Train station – Full rest for acclimatization – O/N at Hotel.

Day 02/03 : In Lhasa (3,650m)

Two Full Days Sightseeing Tour In LhasaVisit Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple & Barkhor Bazaar, Drepung Monastery and Sera Monastery – O/N at Hotel.

Day 04 : Lhasa – Gyantse (3950m) 250 Km

Drive to Gyantse via Yamadroke Lake and high passes: Kora LA (5,010m) & Kamba La (4,794m) – Hotel.

Day 05 : Gyantse – Xigatse (3,900m) 90km

AM: Sight-seeing in Gyantse including Pholkor & Kumbum Monastery. PM: scenic drive to Xigatse (1.5hrs) through the typical Tibetan Countryside- Hotel.

Day 06 : Xigatse – Xegar (4,100m) 270km

AM: Visit Panchen Lama’s Tashilhumpu Monastery. Then Drive to Xegar via Shakya Monastery crossing over Gyatchula (a pass of 5,200m) – O/N at Guest House.

Day 07 : Xegar – Ronbuk (4,980m) Aprox 90km

Scenic drive to Ronbuk through the beautiful Tibetan countryside. Explore Ronbuk Monastery (highest monastery in the world) – O/N at Guest House.

Day 08 : Ronbuk – Everest BC – Tingri/Nyalam (3700m)

Rent a horse cart or walk to the Everest BC and explore around – back to Ronbuk – Drive back to Tingri and further to Nyalam by over-crossing the high pass of lulang La (5,050m) from where one can enjoy the magnificent view of the Mt. Xishapagma (8,212m) & Mt. Cho Oyu (8,201m) and have overnight at Nyalam Guest House.

Day 09 : Nyalam/Zhangmu – Kathmandu (155km) 123km

After necessary border formalities continue scenic drive to Kathmandu through the green lush countryside- transfer to your Hotel. End of tour.

Clothing
The climate of the Tibet fluctuates continuously so it is better to carry warm clothes. If you just want to trek or tour at a lower altitude, fleece jackets and pants are enough. While for a higher altitude trekking, down jackets are necessary.

When is the best time to visit Tibet?
The best time to visit Tibet is from April to November as the weather will be cold from December to February.

Will high altitude be a problem for me?
High altitude sickness is a main issue while traveling to Tibet. Tibet has average altitude of 4000m so people with heart or lung problems are strictly advised to consult their physician before traveling to Tibet. People with normal fitness are also advised to follow the instruction given in the pre-departure briefing.

How to get Tibet Travel Permit?
Travel permit to Tibet is issued by Tibet Tourism Administration. The copy of your passport and Chinese visa, together with other information such as your occupation should be provided in order to apply for the permit. You can take help from your local travel agency.

Can I travel with my kids?
The cities like Lhasa, Shigatse or Gyantse can be traveled with the kids. However traveling to Mt. Kailash or other remote regions with your kids is not advised.

Are there ATM facilities in Tibet?
Yes the major cities in Tibet provide the facilities of ATM.

How to get into Tibet?
There is only one international flight to Tibet which is from Kathmandu (Nepal). Overland tour to Tibet is also possible from Nepal. Domestic flights are available from most cities of China like Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Kunming, Chongqing and Guangzhou.

Is individual travel possible in Tibet?
Yes it is possible to travel alone, but restrictions are imposed on travel to many areas.

What should I pack for Tibet?
While traveling in Tibet Sunglass, Sunhat, Good walking shoes, sleepers, warm enough clothes are recommended.

What happens if I get Sick?
We advise you to keep basic medicines with you. Our guide will also take basic medicines. If you get altitude sickness during the travel please inform your guide in time so that a timely precaution can be taken. In case of serious condition you will be taken to hospital of Lhasa or Kathmandu.

Can I get laundry facility at hotel?
You get this facility mostly in three star or above hotels. There are few laundry outlets in the cities but not outside the cities

Is communication to home possible while on trek? What about internet?
There are telephone facilities in cities as well as in the villages at many places , from where you can make international calls. Internet facility is available in the cities. You can also use your mobile phone at most part of Tibet .
