3 Nights 4 Days Kathmandu Tour is a great package that offers city tour of Kathmandu valley and a scenic trip to Nargarkot to enjoy a superb view of Sunrise and Sunset from its vantage point. Kathmandu valley tour covers the tour of three magical cities of Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur. We will visit the UNESCO world heritage sites like Kathmandu Durbar Square, The famous Monkey Temple, Boudhanath Stupa and Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu. Patan Durbar Square is filled with numerous ancient temples, shrines, stupas, and old royal palace. Bhaktapur carries its own traditional and historical significances. The traditional Newari culture and tradition are other attractions of these ancient cities. Nagarkot is a hill station that is located in Bhaktapur District and it is a great place full of peace and serene environment. The magical hill station of Nagarkot provides a superb view of sunrise and sunset and picturesque view of magnificent Himalayan range from its vantage point.

Our tour commences with a welcome dinner at an authentic Nepali restaurant in Kathmandu. Next day we will carry out a guided city tour to Kathmandu. We will pay our visit to world heritage sites like Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swoyambhunath Temple, Pashupatinath Temple and Boudhanath Stupa. We will then visit Patan and Bhaktapur next day. We start in early morning and visit the traditional Patan Durbar square we will then head to Bhaktapur to visit the traditional and cultural monuments of Bhaktapur Durbar Square. We will later drive to Nagarkot hill station for the overnight stay to enjoy the sunset and next day’s early morning sunrise. We will drive back to Kathmandu and conclude our tour.

Itinerary

After your arrival at the airport in Kathmandu you will be greeted by one of our representatives who will later transfer you to the hotel. We will organize a welcome dinner at an authentic Nepali restaurant with our team and enjoy the cultural shows and traditional ethnic dances by performers. We will later transfer you back to the hotel and brief you about our next day’s travel plan by our company representative. O/N you stay at the hotel.

Today after breakfast we will organize a guided city tour where you get to discover several historical, cultural and spiritual attractions of Kathmandu. You will be seeing the world heritage sites like historical Kathmandu Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of lord Pashupatinath, Buddhist pilgrimage Swoyambhunath (famous by the name of Monkey temple among tourists) and Boudhanath Shrine. You will be amazed to see the culture, tradition and lifestyle of people living in Kathmandu valley.

Today we will be visiting the historical monuments in the cities of Patan and Bhaktapur. Patan bestows you with spectacular Patan Durbar Square, Shrines, Stupas, temples, monasteries and Buddhist Stupas. Bhaktapur is one of the medieval cities of Kathmandu Valley. Bhaktapur Durbar Square is the center of attraction of Bhaktapur. The old royal palace, numerous shrines and statues, rich craftsmanship etc are really worth exploring in this region. We will then drive to Nagarkot hill station with is few kilometers away from the main Bhaktapur City. Few hours of drive through the route filled with green trees and rich vegetation would be a great adventure. Upon reaching Nagarkot, we will transfer to the hotel. Later, we will go for enjoying the magical view of Sunset from its vantage point. The view of sunset is really amazing and worth capturing in the cameras. We will then get back to the hotel for the night stay.

We wake up early morning to enjoy the picturesque view of Sunrise from the hill station. The magical view of sunrise from the vantage point is really breathtaking. Nagarkot offers a scenic view of Himalayan range of eastern Nepal including Mt. Everest. The panoramic view of the Himalayan range and Kathmandu valley is simply awesome. You may capture as many photos as you like. After enjoying the magical scene from Nagarkot we drive back to Kathmandu for the final departure. You will be escorted by one of the representatives of Breakfree adventure to the international terminal of Kathmandu airport approximately three hours before your flight schedule. We exchange our last good-byes and now you will be leaving Nepal with all the good memories you had during the wonderful Kathmandu Tour. We hope you had a lovely time with us. Tour guide
We have a team of highly experienced and professionally trained tour guides who are thoroughly versed in culture and history of each place of the places you will be visiting.

Tour Availability
We operate Kathmandu Tour privately with your personal guide so that you don’t have to confront with other people who might have different interests or attitudes. To keep our tours private and comfortable we limit our groups with 10 people per guide. Please contact us if you have a bigger group and we will arrange several guides for you depending on group size.

Vehicle
We use comfortable car/mini-van for the sightseeing tours. For up to 2 people, car is provided and mini-van is for the group 3-10 people.

Tour duration
The tour duration is 3 nights/4 days. The sightseeing is done at the three major queen cities of the Kathmandu Valley (Kathmandu, Patan, Bhaktapur) including overnight stay at the nearby Himalayan view-point Nagarkot.

Clothing
Clothing varies with the type of tour and season. It’s warm in Kathmandu from April to October-end and from November to March-end, days are usually warm but evening colder. Summer clothes are okay during the day time but the evening requires a light jackets. Winter is from December till February so bring along sufficient winter wears like jackets, sweaters, trousers etc. Or you can purchase clothes of your choice in Kathmandu clothing stores too.

Kathmandu Durbar Square (World Heritage Site)
This complex of palaces, courtyards and temples, built between the 12th and 18th centuries, used to be the seat of the ancient Malla kings of Kathmandu. An intriguing piece here is the 17th- century stone inscription set into the wall of the palace with writings in 15 languages. The Durbar Square is the social, religious and urban focal point of the city. There are also three museums inside the palace building.

Swoyambhunath Stupa – The Monkey Temple (World Heritage Site)
The huge stupa is one of the holiest Buddhists sites in Nepal and its establishment is linked to the creation of the Kathmandu Valley out of a primordial lake. Swayambhu is also known the Monkey temple because of the countless monkeys living in the premises. The stupa is towards the western side of the Kathmandu valley atop a hillock commanding great view of the entire Kathmandu Valley.

Pashupatinath Temple (World Heritage Site)
Pashupatinath is one of the most sacred Hindu shrines located 5 kms east of the city center. The richly-ornamented pagoda houses the sacred Linga, or phallic symbol, of Lord Shiva. Chronicles indicate the temples existence prior to 400 AD. The holy Bagmati River flowing beside the temple is also the cremation ground for Hindus.

Bouddhanath Stupa (World Heritage Site)
The Bouddhanath Stups is the largest stupa in the valley located about 6 kms to the east of downtown Kathmandu. It looms 36 meters high and presents one of the most fascinating
specimens of stupa design. Buddhanath is also known as Khasti, or dew drops, after an account that builders had to use dew to mix the mortar as Kathmandu was suffering from a severe drought during the construction of Bouddhanath.

Patan City
Patan is an old Newar city where the historic Durbar Square, Krishna Mandir Temple, Hiranya Varna Mahabir (the golden temple), Mahabouddha are located. The old city has narrow streets, curios shop and Bazaars.

Patan Durbar Square (World Heritage Site)
Patan Durbar Square is an enchanting combination of palace buildings, artistic courtyards and graceful pagoda temples. The former royal palace complex is the center of Patans religious and social life, and houses a museum containing an array of bronze statues and religious objects. Krishna Mandir Temple built during 17th-century is dedicated to the Hindu god Krishna, built entirely of stone is inside the durbar square.

Bhaktapur Durbar Square (World Heritage Site)
Bhaktapur Durbar Square is a collection of pagoda and shikhara-style temples grouped around a 55-window palace of brick and wood. The attraction of the Bhaktapur Durbar Square is the Lion Gate, the Golden Gate, the 55-window palace, art galleries and the statue of King Bhupatindra Malla.

Nagarkot
Nagarkot is the closest Himalayan view-point from Kathmandu City located 32 kms towards the east. Some majestic mountain panorama can be witnessed from here in a clear day that includes Annapurna in the west to the mighty Everest in the East. Historically, Nagarkot was a place for the royals of Nepal to escape the scorching heat of summer and a hectic city life. Nowadays, its the popular junction to enjoy the picturesque rural scenery of terraced rice fields, green pastures, the sunrise and sunsets from tourists to locals alike.
