Breakfree Adventure’s Explore Pokhara Tour is a unique package that offers a great traveling experience to the magical city of Pokhara. Pokhara is a beautiful city filled with the mystical beauty of nature and heritages. Pokhara is also called the city of lakes as it holds many lakes including the largest lake of Nepal Fewa Lake. Pokhara is a lovely city that offers scenic views of the snowcapped Himalayas like Mt. Annapurna, Mt Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) and other Himalayan ranges. The famous Gupteshowor Mahadev Cave, Sarangkot, Bindabasini Temple, Regional museum, Tibetan Refugee Camp and World Peace Stupa are other attractions of this region.

Our Explore Pokhara Tour starts with a scenic drive to Sarangkot to capture the eye-popping view of the early morning sunrise. Sarangkot also offers a panoramic view of snowcapped mountains and the beautiful open landscape of Pokhara. We will then continue our Pokhara city tour to explore other attractions of Pokhara. We will visit the Bindabasini Temple, Gupteshwor cave, Davis Falls, Seti River Gorge and Pokhara regional museum. The next day we will hike to World Peace Stupa and visit the Tibetan Refugee camp. Hanging around the lakeside and boating in Fewa Lake during the evening would be great fun. There are many fine restaurants and coffee shops around the lakeside. We will either drive or fly back to Kathmandu after unveiling the natural beauty of Pokhara. We will organize a farewell dinner at an authentic Nepali restaurant before you finally wrap up your tour.

Itinerary

After your arrival at the airport in Kathmandu you will be greeted by one of our representatives who will later transfer you to the hotel. After hotel check in you can decide whether you would like to have a relaxing rest at the hotel or hang around the streets of Kathmandu (If you have leisure time). You will be briefed about our next day’s travel plan by our company representative. O/N you stay at the hotel.

We are all set to set off to magical city of Pokhara today. We will either board a flight or drive to Pokhara in a private vehicle. The flight to Pokhara offers a great view of Himalayan range and mystical landscape of Nepal. If we drive to Pokhara we will have a great opportunity to discover the beautiful rivers, green forests, hills and magnificent Himalayas. It will take us approximately five hours to reach Pokhara by a private vehicle. Upon reaching Pokhara our representative will escort you to the hotel where you stay for the night.

Early morning, we set off for Sarangkot to catch eye popping view of sunrise from its ridge. We need to walk for a couple of minutes to reach its vantage point. Sarangkot also offers a great view of some of the tallest Himalayas of Nepal including the Annapurna Range. Later we will driver back to continue with our city tour. We will pay our visit to the famous Bindabasini Temple that is dedicated to goddess Durga.
We will continue to visit other attractions of the City like Seti River Gorge, Davis Falls, The longest cave in south Asia Gupteshwor Cave and many more. Hanging around the lakeside in the evening and boating in the Fewa Lake for some time is indeed a great fun. O/N We stay at the hotel in Pokhara.

Today we will hike to reach the famous World Peace Stupa situated on a hilltop in Ananda hill of Pumdi Bhumdi village development committee. It is one of the most famous Buddhist pilgrimage in Pokhara. The Stupa situated at the height of 2100 meters stands as a symbol of world peace. There are two main routes to reach the stupa, one form a more direct route, take a rowboat across the lake from Pokhara and walk the well-marked stair path about 30-45 minutes uphill or walk around the Dam side tip of the lake and up to the Stupa. Upon reaching Stupa we will spend some time exploring the site while enjoying the panoramic views of beautiful mountains, landscape and Fewa Lake from its vantage point. We will later climb down and visit the Tibetan refugee camp. Tibetan refugee camp in Pokhara is an ideal place to discover the traditional Buddhist culture and tradition. The refugee camp in Pokhara is a settlement of exiled Tibetan refugees. You may choose to hang around the lake side and enjoy boating in the Fewa Lake. O/N we stay at the hotel.

Today we will be bidding farewell to the beautiful city of Pokhara. We will either fly back or drive back to Kathmandu. Driving back to Kathmandu is a great fun as it offers a scenic view of beautiful rivers, landscapes and traditional villages on our way back. Upon reaching Kathmandu we will organize a farewell dinner at an authentic Nepali restaurant. The traditional dances and cultural shows at the restaurants would be a great opportunity to understand the Nepali culture and tradition. After the dinner we will get back to the hotel for the overnight stay.

Your trip to the majestic country of Nepal comes to an end today! You will be escorted by one of the representatives of Breakfree adventure to the international terminal of Kathmandu airport approximately three hours before your flight schedule. We exchange our last good-byes and now you will be leaving Nepal with all the good memories you had during the wonderful Kathmandu Valley Tour. We hope you had a lovely time with us. Tour guide
We have a team of highly experienced and professionally trained tour guides who are thoroughly versed in culture and history of each place of the places you will be visiting.

Tour Availability
We operate Explore Pokhara Tour privately with your personal guide so that you don’t have to confront with other people who might have different interests or attitudes. To keep our tours private and comfortable we limit our groups with 10 people per guide. Please contact us if you have a bigger group and we will arrange several guides for you depending on group size.

Vehicle
We use comfortable car/mini-van for the transfers. For up to 2 people, car is provided and mini-van is for the group of 3-10 people. Another option is by flight.

Tour duration
The total tour duration is 5 nights/6 days. In Pokhara visit Sarangkot, the Himalayan view-point, Bindabasini temple, Gupteshwor cave, Davis Falls, Seti River Gorge, Pokhara regional museum, World Peace Stupa, Tibetan Refugee camp.

Clothing
Clothing varies with the type of tour and season. It’s warm in Kathmandu from April to October-end and from November to March-end, days are usually warm but evening colder. Summer clothes are okay during the day time but the evening requires a light jackets. Winter is from December till February so bring along sufficient winter wears like jackets, sweaters, trousers etc. Or you can purchase clothes of your choice in Kathmandu clothing stores too.

The sightseeing places we visit will include:

Sarangkot
Sarangkot is the Himalayan view-point located at an altitude of 1600m. From Sarangkot, on the northern direction one can spot Dhawalagiri in the far west, Annapurna range is visible when the weather is clear on the same side. On the southern direction overlooks the Pokhara city and its lake on the north-western outskirts of the city.

World Peace Pagoda
World Peace Pagoda is a Buddhist stupa located on a hill top (Rani Ban) just above the Phewa Lake. This stupa is the symbol of peace where the huge idols of Lord Buddha from Japan, Sri Lanka and Thailand have been installed. From here one can enjoy the breathtaking views of Himalayan Ranges, lakes, and the city.

Bindhabasini Temple
The temple is for the Goddess Bhagwati located in the center of the religious old bazaar. The park grounds offer a fine picnic and relaxing area.

Davis fall
Locally known as Patale Chhango and in the southern flank of the Pokhara valley, it is where the stream flowing from Fewa Lake collapses and surges down the rock into a deep gorge, leaping through several potholes.

Gupteshwor Cave
The revered Gupteshwor Cave is situated 2 kms from Pokhara airport. The entrance is right across from Davis fall and the cave is almost 3 kms long. It has some big hall-sized rooms and some passages where you have to crawl on all four. This cave holds special value to Hindus since a phallic symbol of Lord Shiva is preserved here in the condition it was discovered

Seti River Gorges
Carved by Seti-Gandaki, it is one of the natural wonders of Pokhara. K.I. Singh bridge at Bagar, Mahendrapool and Prithivi highway Bridge near bus park, provide a perfect view of the rivers dreadful rush and the deep gorge made by the turbulent flow of white water.

Tibetan Refugee Camps
The Tibetan village Tashiling in the south and the Tashi Palkhel village in the north of Pokhara are renowned for the production and trade of woolen carpets and other handicrafts. The original Tibetan settlers in this region migrated to Nepal in the ‘50s.

Regional Museum
It is located between the airport and Mahendra Pul & reflects the ethnic mosaic of Western Nepal. The lifestyles and history of ethnic groups such as the Gurung, Thakali and the Tharu are attractively displayed.
