Kathmandu and Pokhara Tour package is a tour program that takes you on a voyage to witness the majesty and beauty of two beautiful valleys in Nepal: Kathmandu and Pokhara. The Kathmandu Pokhara Tour comprises a mesmerizing cultural and natural exploration of two beautiful and vibrant cities in Nepal.

Kathmandu, a city with its mystique, its character unbeknownst to any other city in the world, a city abounds in cultural and traditional heritage despite the heavy influence of modernity, is a glorious city that has, in its every twist and turn, a rich history and stories waiting to be unfolded. At first glance, the nation’s capital may seem like any ordinary developing country’s capital, urbanized in an unmanaged fashion. But Kathmandu has and offers more than what one sees at first glance.

The vibrant markets, medieval-looking alleyways, old temples, reverent monasteries, extravagant palaces, and squares, intricately carved stone water faucets, rustic street shops, and many present visitors the essence of Nepal, and its culture and history. You will experience symphony amidst this chaos, and an order in this seemingly convoluted disorder. Centuries-old monasteries with myths fascinating than stories in bestselling novels, architecturally aesthetic temples whose deity withholds belief and has been protecting its worshippers from the beginning of time, and the extravagant palaces and courtyards with rich history of the nearby civilization, accentuate the beauty of Kathmandu.

Pokhara contrasting to Kathmandu on its pageantry of beauty but similar in charm, is yet another enchanting city of Nepal. Inundated with natural beauty, is a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle to spend a more relaxed time reconnecting with nature. The sightseeing places we visit in Kathmandu will include:

Kathmandu Durbar Square (World Heritage Site)

An intriguing piece here is the 17th-century stone inscription set into the wall of the palace with writings in 15 languages. The Durbar Square is the social, religious, and urban focal point of the city. There are also three museums inside the palace building.

Swoyambhunath Stupa – The Monkey Temple (World Heritage Site)

The huge stupa is one of the holiest Buddhist sites in Nepal and its establishment is linked to the creation of the Kathmandu Valley out of a primordial lake. Swayambhu is also known as the Monkey Temple because of the countless monkeys living on the premises. The stupa is towards the western side of the Kathmandu Valley atop a hillock commanding a great view of the entire Kathmandu Valley.

Pashupatinath Temple (World Heritage Site)

Pashupatinath is one of the most sacred Hindu shrines located 5 km east of the city center. The richly ornamented pagoda houses the sacred Linga, or phallic symbol, of Lord Shiva. Chronicles indicate the temples’ existence before 400 AD. The holy Bagmati River flowing beside the temple is also the cremation ground for Hindus.

Bouddhanath Stupa (World Heritage Site)

The Bouddhanath Stupa is the largest stupa in the valley located about 6 km to the east of downtown Kathmandu. It looms 36 meters high and presents one of the most fascinating
specimens of stupa design. Buddhanath is also known as Khasti, or dew drops, after an account that builders had to use dew to mix the mortar as Kathmandu was suffering from a severe drought during the construction of Bouddhanath.

The sightseeing places we visit in Pokhara will include:

Sarangkot

Sarangkot is the Himalayan viewpoint located at an altitude of 1600m. On the southern direction overlooks the Pokhara city and its lake on the north-western outskirts of the city.

World Peace Pagoda

This stupa is the symbol of peace where the huge idols of Lord Buddha from Japan, Sri Lanka, and Thailand have been installed. From here one can enjoy the breathtaking views of the Himalayan Ranges, lakes, and the city.

Bindhabasini Temple

The temple is for the Goddess Bhagwati located in the center of the religious old bazaar. The park grounds offer a fine picnic and relaxing area.

Davis falls

Locally known as Patale Chhango and in the southern flank of the Pokhara Valley, it is where the stream flowing from Fewa Lake collapses and surges down the rock into a deep gorge, leaping through several potholes.

Gupteshwor Cave

The revered Gupteshwor Cave is situated 2 km from Pokhara airport. The entrance is right across from Davis Falls and the cave is almost 3 km long. It has some big hall-sized rooms and some passages where you have to crawl on all fours. This cave holds special value to Hindus since a phallic symbol of Lord Shiva is preserved here in the condition it was discovered

Seti River Gorges

Carved by Seti-Gandaki, it is one of the natural wonders of Pokhara. K.I. Singh Bridge at Bagar, Mahendrapool, and Prithivi highway Bridge near the bus park, provides a perfect view of the river’s dreadful rush and the deep gorge made by the turbulent flow of white water.
