Overview

Langtang Heli Tour is a helicopter tour of the region of Langtang where besides getting spectacular aerial views of the Landscapes below and around, you land at the Monastery of Kyajin for half an hour in which you visit the monastery and interact with the locals.

The ride itself is a two and a half hour trip, include the half an hour which you spend at Kyanjin. You begin the ride from Kathmandu airport fly there taking an hour and then fly back taking another. The Langtang region along with its valley is known for the hamlets which are perched in scenic lush mountainsides of multi ethno cultures which seems to be sculptured into the land. The area to the north in Lantang boast of glaciers flowing south from the peaks of various mounts like Mount Langtang from which the region gets its name, Mount Lirung, Ganesh Himal, Lakpa Dorje, Yala Peak, Naya Kanga, Gaurishankar and others lie in the aerial view of the flight. Then you fly over the Alpine lakes of Goisakunda, a revered lake to the Hindu faithful for it having a relic of the Hindu God, Lord Shiva.

The visit to the Kyajin Monastery perched on the ridge overlooking into north gives you a spectacular look of not only Langtang Mountain at close range but also the glacial basin at the base. Itinerary

In this Langtang Heli Tour, You will be picked up from a set location and taken to the airport in Kathmandu by private vehicle. Before, you can fly, you will be given instruction by the pilot of the dos and don’ts on such a flight. You will take off and head for your one hour ride. Then you will land at kyajin Monastery and do your interaction and sight there. Half an hour later, you will take off and return to Kathmandu. In Kathmandu, you will be dropped off by private vehicle to you destination.

Note: There can be cancellations to the tour in case of adverse weather and other unforeseeable reason, where you tour will be rescheduled for another day. Please keep some extra days in hand if you happen to take such as tour or any other ones of the same category.
