Overview
Short Nagarkot Hiking is easy trekking giving full insight into the village life of real Nepal and witnessing some of the great Himalayan views. The program allows one to explore the natural beauty of Nepal and at the same time observing the living culture and traditions. Spectacular views of the mountains like Gauri Shanker, Langtang and Mt. Everest can be spotted during the hike and from Nagarkot, the Himalayan vantage-point just a stone throw from Kathmandu city. Sunrise and sunset views over the Himalayas are also equally appreciated from Nagarkot. Initially, the trek starts after driving to Sankhu, an old Newari town, then hike towards Nagarkot. Spent a night at Nagarkot then the trail descends down to the temple of Changu Narayan, considered the oldest temple of Nepal built around the 14th century. The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Afterward, drive back to Kathmandu. Outline Trekking Itinerary for Short Nagarkot Trek
Day 01 : Arrive in Kathmandu
Day 02 : Drive to Sankhu, Trek to Nagarkot 3-4 hrs
Day 03 : Trek down to Changu Narayan (3-4 hrs) & drive back to Kathmandu
Day 04 : Transfer to airport for your onward destination
